We are located in beautiful Red Feather Lakes, Colorado!

The Soaring Eagle Ecology Center (SEEC) is recognized as a 501(c)(3) community non-profit organization, created by the citizens of Red Feather Lakes and Livermore, Colorado. We are located just 45 minutes northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Our mission is to offer hands-on, outdoor education opportunities that promote the understanding and appreciation of the natural world for learners of all ages.

SEEC success depends on YOU! Our volunteers and instructors come from our local area residents, business, community service groups, Larimer county, Colorado state and federal offices located in Fort Collins.

Our community partners dedicate their staff, time and resources to achieve common educational goals, such as the promotion of public lands stewardship through fire safety, pine beetle mitigation and best environmental practices to better understand the land we call home.

Our mountain community and ecology is unique. Our community includes full-time and seasonal residents from all over the United States. They come for our beautiful mountain scenery, cooler temperatures in the summer and in the winter for our gentle snowy slopes perfect for family sledding, snowshoe and cross country skiing.

Soaring Eagle Ecology Center is a proud member of the

What Do We Offer?           Free community events, programs and presentations focused on environmental education.

Who Can Attend?             In general, courses are free and open to the public on a first come first served basis. However, due to the nature of some courses and workshops, a small fee or tuition may be necessary. Also a course may be intended for school ages, which may require registration sign up by parent/adult guardian. If applicable, course descriptions will have the fee, age level and registration information listed.

For Free?                              Yes for free! SEEC works hard with its community partners to provide no to low-cost education and activities that take advantage of our unique mountain ecology. Donations are suggested, but never required to participate in a SEEC sponsored event. Donations help keep costs down of courses provided. We are a non-profit public organization. Full disclosure about SEEC activities is posted here.
